Boeing, Russia’s Aviation Capital Services Announce Commitment for 35 737 MAXs

Wednesday, October 31, 2012 – Boeing and Aviation Capital Services LLC, a subsidiary of the State Corporation Russian Technologies (Rostech), announced today a commitment by Rostech to purchase 35 737 MAX airplanes. It is the first commitment for the 737 MAX from Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Boeing and Aviation Capital Services will work to finalize the details of the order, valued at more than $3.5 billion at current list prices.

Jetstar celebrates 100 million passengers

Wednesday, October 31, 2012 – Jetstar Group CEO Jayne Hrdlicka said this was an impressive milestone in the Group’s short history.

“In 2004, we started flying with 14 aircraft along the east coast of Australia and now Jetstar airlines fly customers to almost 60 destinations across 16 countries with a fleet of nearly 100 aircraft,” Ms Hrdlicka said.

Qantas kicks off Movember

Qantas got behind the launch of the Movember campaign as an extension of its partnership with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

To mark the announcement, The Qantas Wallabies unveiled a Boeing 737-800 aircraft sporting a giant moustache that will fly around the country during November to raise awareness of prostate cancer and men’s mental health.

New 135,000-Ton Ship Ordered for Carnival Cruise Lines
