Austrian Airlines: Operational transition to Tyrolean heading towards the finishing line

Next weekend, all of the flight operations of the Austrian Airlines Group, which has a fleet of some 80 aircraft, will be bundled at its 100% subsidiary Tyrolean Airways. More than 50% of all Austrian flights are already being “operated by Tyrolean”, especially those in Austria and to Central and Eastern Europe. As of July 1, Tyrolean will also operate the long-distance fleet.

United Airlines Launches Daily Service From Newark To Istanbul

United Airlines introduces its first-ever service to Turkey this weekend with the launch of daily nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Istanbul’s Ataturk International Airport, beginning July 1.

Flight 904 is scheduled to depart Newark Liberty daily at 7:27 p.m. and arrive in Istanbul at 12:20 p.m. the next day.

Transaero Airlines Launched St. Petersburg – Milan Route with Moscow – Milan Flights on the Way

Saturday, June 30, 2012 – Transaero  Airlines operated its first-ever scheduled flight  to Malpensa airport in Milan  from St. Petersburg Pulkovo airport on June 28, 2012.  Scheduled service from Moscow Vnukovo airport  is due to start on June 30, 2012.

Transaero was pleased with the number of passengers on  the first flight from St. Petersburg to Milan demonstrating the  demand for the service.

Hodgson’s Misery is Good News for Travel Industry

Saturday, June 30, 2012 – England’s exit from the Euro 2012 football tournament might be bad news for football fans – but it’s good news for the UK’s tourism industry, with a post-knockout surge in bookings being reported by the UK’s biggest self-catering operator. Hoseasons has reported a huge increase in bookings in the three days following England’s exit on penalties at the hands of Italy, with bookings up by more than 16% on the same week last year, and by 13.6% against the same three days last week.
